International Conference - Cognitive Modeling in Linguistic
General Information
Conferences of series “Cognitive Modeling” have been held with success since 1998. In 2000 the direction was specified as “Cognitive Modeling in Linguistics” (CML). In 1998 and 2000 CML conferences were held as a part of the National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (CAI). In 2001- as a part of the International Congress on Artificial Intelligence (ICAI-2001), which took place in Divnomorskoe (Russia). In 2002 the CML conference was held in Divnomorskoe as a part of the IEEE International Conference “Artificial Intelligence Systems” (IEEE AIS"02). Since 2003 till 2005 the CML conference took place in Varna (Bulgaria). In 2007 the Conference will take place in Sofia just after the Summer School on Cognitive Science of NBU.
The aim of the conference is to integrate the efforts of specialists in cognitive psychology, learning theory, neural networks, cognitive linguistics, knowledge engineering, semiotics, psycholinguistics, etc. The results are expected to contribute to the investigation of cognitive processing of language information.

A paper accepted for presentation at CML’2007 cannot be presented at another meeting with publicly available published proceedings. Papers that are being submitted to other conferences must indicate this on the title page.
Notification of receipt and acceptance of papers will be sent to the first author.
All submissions will be subject to academic peer review by at least two members of the Programme Committee. Selection criteria include accuracy and originality of ideas, clarity and significance of results, and quality of presentation.
For each accepted paper, at least one author is required to attend the conference to present the paper.
Papers can be applied in English or in Russian (with abstract in English) up to May 14, 2007 according to submission form.

Location
The IXth International Conference “CognitiveModeling in Linguistics - 2007” will be held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, on base of New Bulgarian University (Bulgaria). Since 2007 Bulgaria is a Member of European Union. Sofia is a traditional center of science, education, culture and art of Bulgaria. Also Sofia is an ancient center of Slavic culture, one of the most beautiful cities at the Balkan Peninsula. Museums and Old Churches are situated at the historical center of the city. There are a lot of places of ancient history, culture and impressive urban landscapes.
